Tectonics is the engine that drives Earth’s evolution. By linking deep mantle processes to surface environments, tectonics shapes continents and oceans, influences climate and biodiversity, and governs hazards such as earthquakes and volcanism.
Understanding tectonics is therefore essential for interpreting Earth’s past and anticipating future planetary behavior. Our research integrates geodynamics, geophysics, petrology, structural geology, and sedimentary geology to connect Earth’s interior to its surface and decode the processes that shape our planet.
