Ananya Mallik in Nature Geoscience

Rebecca Neely, one of the editors of Nature Geoscience, invited Ananya Mallik to write a brief article (news and views) reviewing how diamonds are windows to deep Earth. The article is part of a special collection by Nature Geoscience on deep water.

Superdeep Diamond — Evan M. Smith/GIA Iron–nickel alloy considered to be remnant of serpentinized seafloor trapped as an inclusion in this colourless diamond from the ‘CLIPPIR’ family of superdeep diamonds.
