"Project X", a teaching activity by Geoscientist Prof. G. Davis received an Exemplary rating by National Association of Geoscience Teachers.
Join the Department of Geosciences in congratulating Prof. George Davis, whose teaching activity in Geosciences, Project X, has been accepted into the Teach the Earth Exemplary Teaching Activity Collection of the National Association of Geoscience Teachers. "Exemplary" status is awarded to fewer than 20% of the thousands of teaching activities submitted to NAGT over the years. This is the second time Prof Davis has made it to the list of “On the Cutting Edge Exemplary Teaching Activities.” Previously his Crust-Busting Faults activity https://serc.carleton.edu/NAGTWorkshops/structure/SGT2012/activities/62791.html also made the Cutting Edge List!
The Teach the Earth program for faculty professional development supports excellence in geoscience education through a variety of workshops, web-based resource services and related activities. Scientific accuracy, pedagogical effectiveness are only some of the criteria in this peer reviewed process. Detailed review process is described here.
Thank you for your efforts and congratulations on meeting this high standard.
