"Lesser Antilles slab reconstruction reveals lateral slab transport under the Caribbean since 50 Ma"

Jonny Wu, Associate Professor with the Department of Geoscience, published the paper “Lesser Antilles slab reconstruction reveals lateral slab transport under the Caribbean since 50 Ma” in the journal Earth and Planetary Science Letters.  The paper was led by Dr.Wu’s former PhD student Yi-Wei Chen and presents a slab-based Caribbean plate reconstruction that quantifies significant lateral slab movement in the mantle after subduction.
