The International Astronomical Union is honoring Laurence McKinley Gould by naming minor planet (22022) Gould = 1999 XR110

 Laurence McKinley Gould (August 22, 1896 – June 21, 1995) an American geologist, educator, and polar explorer, faculty at the Department of Geosciences, University of Arizona  from 1963 through 1979 has been awarded  several namesakes which include the research vessel Laurence M. Gould as well as Antarctic features including Gould BayGould Coast, and Mount Gould. The International Astronomical Union just added minor plant named (22022) Gould = 1999 XR110 to this honorary list.
